An amazing Ford Escort Mexico tribute will be auctioned and could fetch an incredible price.
The retro Ford, based on the 1979 Mk2 Escort, has undergone a stunning restoration. It now looks in top condition.
The tribute, based on a car imported from Australia is finished in Signal Yellow, one of the original Mexico colours. It also includes the correct Black Pinstripes and Badging, as well as the front bib spoiler, RS Rubber Decklid Spoiler, and RS Rubber Decklid Spoiler.
The Escort was stripped down to its bare bones before it could be worked on.
The 2.0-litre Pinto gasoline engine is the power source, with a five-speed gearbox that should please petrolheads. A genuine RS 3-spoke steering wheel completes the package.
It’s a good thing the classic Mexico has air conditioning, as temperatures are rising.
The ‘MEX100 registration’ is not included with the sale.
The seller commented that the Escort was in “show-quality condition.” Collecting Cars, who handled the online sale, said: “Ford Escort Mk2 build completed to this level are a rarity… not only benefiting a comprehensive cosmetic refurbishment, but also a host of high-quality upgrade to deliver an enhanced drive experience.”
The online auction ends at 7.50am, 26th May.
