Date Fright: Dana White Reveals Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler ‘Isn’t Guaranteed’ in Worrying Update on UFC Mega-Fight.

DANA WHITE says the UFC is still a long way from deciding a date of Conor McGregor’s return.

The Notorious, who coached season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, is set to face former three-time Bellator light weight champion Michael Chandler in the latter part of this year.

McGregor’s absence, however, from the United States Anti-Doping Agency testing pool has complicated things.

The Irishman has to be in the swimming pool for at least six months before he is eligible to compete. This means that October is the earliest date he can return.

White stated: “We are still working on it and figuring out that.”

There’s still a lot to be done in the Conor fight.”

The weight class in which the two will fight is also up in the air, though SunSport has learned that Team McGregor wants the bout to take place at welterweight.

UFC President White said: “They are going to fight.”

“When” isn’t guaranteed. When, what weight class are they in, and what are they doing?

Conor is filming The Ultimate Fighter this season with Chandler. But Conor hasn’t recovered from his shin injury.

“There are still many questions and what-ifs and we haven’t got answers yet.”

The tensions between McGregor, 36, and Chandler, 34, rose during the filming of UFC Apex, on Friday.

According to reports, McGregor pushed the former lightweight challenger in the cage before a melee began.

White made a reference to the alleged incident at the UFC 285 press conference after the fight last Sunday. He said: “Chandler Conor were both very respectful towards each other.

They don’t like each other anymore.

“I’m not interested in things that are good for the show, or other such things.”

“Whatever happens, happens. What just happened should not have happened.

“I’m getting old boys, I’m getting old.
